Tech develops and changes everyday. There are many exciting news everyday. Some weeks there will be an exciting funding, launch of a new product, partnership, etc. Therefore, I recommend few websites where you can stay up to date with newest tech news.
MAGNiTT is my go to website.
It is the online reference for the startup ecosystem in the MENA. It publishes news every morning and provides many useful data. The research team gathers complete and up-to-date historical startup funding data and puts up a great amount of research reports on the ecosystem’s latest deals. The platform is action oriented: entrepreneurs can apply for funding, apply to accelerator programs as well as direct message investors, fellow entrepreneurs, mentors and advisors. There is also a job board for job seekers looking to work for startups. It’s truly a one stop shop for the startup ecosystem.
Here are a few other sites I have used in the past:
Angel list is designed for tech startups looking for seed funding. It also has a recruitment feature for job seekers looking to work at startups. AngelListJobs helps you efficiently find start-ups looking to provide a service, product, platform or investment opportunity.
Pitchbook is great for market analysis and VCs, even though it focuses a lot on VCs and their portfolio. It mainly relies on crowdsourcing (data contributed by crowd) which can sometimes lead to finding the wrong funding details.
Crunchbase is a good platform for professionals looking for innovative companies as well as connect with the people behind them. I find the website UI however a bit messy and confusing.
Datafox is quite easy to browse through and has a good database of startups and real-time basic information on startups.
Explorebit has data that is verified and added by a research team unlike Pitchbook, with anonymous contributors.
